Department Summary


DigitasLBi’s UK Technology department sits firmly at the centre of the agency, with our technologists brought into client engagements from the very beginning. Our engagement models with clients are broad – we work on everything from standalone technical strategy through to full service consultancy, design and delivery to a range of projects. We have a particular focus on digital marketing technology ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on products from Adobe, Oracle, Sitecore, Drupal/Acquia and Salesforce, and commerce (SAP hybris, Oracle), often with complex integrations into client and third-party systems.


Our technology capability is divided into business units, each with its own leadership, supporting the needs of a portfolio of clients or a single client of scale. These teams augment our friendly, expert and collaborative department culture with an individual take on the agency’s ethos. Aligned to the specific needs of the client portfolio. We enhance these teams with a 7,000-strong technology capability in the Publicis.Sapient network, utilizing expertise and scale to create genuinely collaborative, globally distributed project delivery teams.


Role Summary



As a Lead Business Analyst, you will manage a team of Business Analysts working on large scale website design and build projects. You will remain hands on engaging with stakeholders up to C Level to define requirements, specifically regarding systems integration and to guide the delivery of the features within the release plan as well as having experienced in large scale technical delivery.


Our Lead Business Analysts use their craft and people skills to influence internal teams, including offshore, and stakeholders through the complex challenges.




Managing stakeholders, confidently gathering and challenging the validity of requirements

Leading workshops with internal teams and stakeholders up to C Level

Working closely with Project / Programme Managers to lead large teams of UX Designers, Technical Architects, Developers, Testers and business stakeholders

Leading and mentoring a team of up to 15 Business Analysts

Understanding complex technical aspects of systems integration and communicate these to the project / programme

Managing project scope in large complex programmes, including upward reporting of any scope creep

Translating business requirements and business-level acceptance criteria into user stories and acceptance criteria for technical implementation

Context modeling of current system landscape to establish capabilities and constraints

Requirements analysis, including identification of relevant systems, data mapping and processes definition; definition and documentation of applicable business rules, data and system capabilities analysis against the established user experience

Negotiating priorities with stakeholders and Product owners, ensuring technical and business alignment

Supporting UX Designers and Technical Architects during the detailed design phases

Providing clarification during implementation and support of quality assurance

Prioritising requirements on the programme

Ensuring offshore teams are clear on requirements, and delivering on them

Managing requirements using Jira


Skills & Experience


System and technical architecture analysis on complex Agile programmes

Prior knowledge of data modeling and its technical architecture

Definition of acceptance criteria for technical stories

Requirements engineering and management, including analysis, scope management and workshop facilitation

Proven experience identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability

Prior delivery on complex web-platforms interfacing with a large number of different internal and external systems

Working in large-scale, multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder teams, specifically being able to manage many client stakeholders at once

Thorough knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project lifecycle and relevant paradigms, methodologies and techniques

Able to demonstrate formal methods, systems concepts, analytical disciplines, processes, procedures to effectively communicate requirements and proposed solution

Understanding of quality assurance process for software development

Background in systems architecture for web-based platforms

Previous successful delivery of large complex Web based projects, ideally content CMS focused, (AEM is highly desirable)

Requirements and specification management in a BDD / TDD environment

Experience within the Automotive industry would be advantageous (not mandatory)
