Lead Experience Designer (Creative Technologist/Product Designer)

WE are the Experience Design team at DigitasLBi, and we are looking for a Lead Experience Designer to join us. We create digital products and experiences that are designed to become a part of people’s lives, that solve their problems, and that bring delight. We are made up of folks with skills in visual design, UX, interaction design, content strategy, creative technology, mountain biking, pickling, needlepoint, and so on.

YOU want to create digital/physical/virtual products and experiences that make people take notice. You've done it before with scrappy teams of three, or with armies of talent. You might have a title like XD, VisD, UX or some such thing. (You hate titles.) You've got technical proficiency, but know that style and taste are equally important. Therefore, you have really good style and taste.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand how to design to a customer’s emotional and physical context
  • Concept and design intuitive experiences that meet client objectives and exceed customer expectations
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams from strategy, technology, account, and production
  • Articulate design rationale
  • Know trends in design, interaction, technology, and art
  • Perform under the pressure of deadlines
  • Want to learn
  • Be awesome

Great candidates often have:

  • A four-year degree
  • Additional study in HCI, Human Factors or Graphic Design
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Enough research experience to be dangerous
  • A robust portfolio of work across devices and platforms
  • Basic understanding of front end development technologies
  • A familiarity with common social platforms
  • Creative agency experience desired

Bonus points if you have experience in any or all of the following:

  • User research
  • Rapid prototyping
  • Product design
  • Augmented and virtual reality
  • 3D rendering/modeling
  • HTML/CSS

 Got what it takes?
