Motorsport Social Media Manager & Copywriter


DigitasLBi are looking for a Motorsport Social Media Manager &Copywriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a wordsmith at heart and know social inside and out. They will have a passion for motorsports and most importantly the fan banter that goes along with it. This is a unique, exciting and rewarding role that is at the front line of a motorsports brand. To ensure the success of this role the candidate will have 6+ years of experience within social and have the following skills and attributes…

Wordsmith – You will be able to own a brand’s voice and craft copy to ensure it’s on brand, on message and creates the desired emotional response. You will know how to craft copy so it is triggers social conversations and website copy that draws people down a page.

Social Expert – You know your hashtags from your @ mentions, how to tap into conversations and when not to. You know how to read social data and most importantly can react to it to maximise content. Social platforms are second nature and you can publish content in your sleep.

Content Planner & Creator – You are able to plan and write creative cross platform content-­‐ ensuring that it’s unique and valuable to an audience. Even though words are your weapon of choice you have an eye for art direction and can pick a picture to maximise a post.

Motivated & Collaborative – You are self-­‐motivated and don’t need someone to hold your hand. You are able spot opportunities and make the most of them. But in saying this you are not a lone wolf and like to collaborate with creatives, strategists, account handlers and clients.

Master Manager – You have great interpersonal skills, can work with clients to guide them to the right solution and help them with issues that arise.You’ll be self-­‐sufficient and be able to work.

Highly Organised -­‐ You are buttoned down and highly organised. Youcan juggle multiple pieces of work, always meeting deadlinesand don’t get in a flusterwhen it comes to multitasking and getting work out.

Digital Publisher – You are comfortable with website publishing andhave used a CMS or two over your career. Experience in using CQ5/ AEM would be ideal but not essential.

Motorsports Fan – Most of all you’re an armchair fan and like to keep up to date with motorsport. You share your thoughts on social and like being part of the conversation.
