What you’ll do:

As Manager of SEO, you’ll drive the strategic on- and off-site components of an integrated SEO campaign. You will be leading our SEO offering and be highly involved in expanding the team of specialists in the Nordics while working side-by-side with other international leads on establishing great client results and relationships. 

Day-to-day, your role includes: 

  • Leading client communications as the senior SEO point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Responsible for quality assurance for SEO work that is delivered out of the team
  • Accountable for the implementation and delivery of SEO campaigns by the team according to the agreed search strategy, including activity planning and scheduling
  • Identify key opportunities including innovations and up and cross sells for clients.
  • Responsible for all aspects of SEO analysis and delivery including keyword research, competitor analysis, content and backlink audits, and ensuring a high standard of delivery of these by the team
  • Work towards client targets and goals within wider performance media campaigns
  • Effectively manage client communications, expectations and satisfaction
  • Continuously increasing knowledge of media channels, especially SEO, keeping up to date with marketplace and technical developments and integrating these developments into client campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the business including Professional and Client Services, always putting the client at the heart of what we do
  • Share knowledge derived from client campaigns and industry research with fellow team members; coach and develop more junior members of the team
  • Help to develop SEO knowledge within the department and wider company
  • Travel to client meetings when required
  • Provide support with business development opportunities, including attending pitches
  • Achieving individual and team objectives by delivering work within time, budgets and risk parameters – even in the face of obstacles.
  • Always question current practices and propose solutions that will benefit clients and the SEO teams.
  • Helping the team accept and apply new approaches, systems and methods as appropriate.
  • Motivating others in the team to come up with new ideas and initiatives. Encourage them to challenge current approaches and methods.

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:


  • At least 4 years’ experience in SEO, preferably some within an agency environment
  • Highest level of SEO knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of cross digital campaigns, in particular PPC
  • Experience working directly with clients as the lead contact on accounts
  • Experience devising and delivering SEO strategies for large brands
  • Affinity for people management; ability to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy
  • Working knowledge of analytics packages, in particular Google Analytics
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to write and communicate to a high standard
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills


  • Experience working for big brands on complicated SEO campaigns across multiple markets
  • Experience working on synergy projects across all media channels, in particular PPC
  • Degree in media, marketing, computer science, or similar discipline relevant to SEO
  • Experience in developing business cases for SEO
  • Experience in using enterprise SEO platforms such as Searchmetrics, SEMRush, etc.
  • Experience in using Adobe Analytics
  • Working knowledge of other Nordic languages (in addition to English)
