UX Director


Job Position:   UX Director

Report to:        Managing Director


is responsible for delivering transformative customer experience and collaborating with strategy, data, technology and creative to create engaging new experiences and brand value.

The UX Director helps shape the discourse around design, engages with the community at a local level and mentors the UX designers to become better practitioners through career and skill development. He/she is also expected to be well connected in the market, and attract the best and brightest design talent within the region.

The clients you'll be partnering with ranges across financial services, travel & hospitality, property management and more. You'll be using your design and problem solving skills to help organisations identify what value they bring to their customers and then deliver on that value.

Developing The Product Vision And Concept Direction

  • Lead ideation and concept explorations in key client projects throughout any project lifecycle, facilitating and driving creative solutions, discussions and planning
  • Help introduce new angles and ideas to project teams and the client, leveraging learning and ideas from previous projects and pitches into new scenarios
  • Deliver insights about people and behavior, verbally and visually, in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from the client and design team

Delivery oversight

  • Ensuring the UX team approach the design challenge methodically and productively to achieve a desirable solution: maps, flows, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, user testing, etc.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable and applicable to client’s context; and that knowledge and best practices are shared across projects and teams
  • Track and communicate project milestones, deliverables and risks with the project team

Team Management And Inter-Department Collaboration

  • Shaping a world-class UX practice and team; ensuring the team have the right mix of talent to fulfill a wide variety of design challenge
  • Mentorship and coaching of UX designers
  • Collaborate with other function leads to strengthen DLBi’s presence and business in this market
  • Work closely with resource and program management to deliver the right scope of work to clients

Refine and champion design techniques and process

  • Creating a productive design culture in the office, by leading by example and through proven, consistent management practices
  • Evolving and guiding usage of the best design tools and processes


  • Impressive portfolio demonstrating your thinking skills on web, mobile and other digital platforms
  • Unconventional and brilliant thinking
  • Proven experience designing applications and services that balance user needs, commercial interests, and technological constraints
  • Hands-on experience driving pitches to success
  • Ability to develop, nurture and maintain client relationships
  • Prior experience designing for cross-platform services in an Agile setting
  • At least 10 years experience in leadership roles, with proven team management and active mentorship abilities
